Hold My Own: Tied Down 2025

Holy My Own… if you love heavy, no-nonsense hardcore, look no further. This band has released songs featuring some of the most well-known names in hardcore (Speed, Sunami, Disgrace), but their sound alone makes them stand out among the endless sea of bands trying to have the exact same impact. They yell, they scream, they grunt. They shred guitar, they make you want to dance, and they’ll make you want to punch your best friend in the face. This Chicago/New Jersey outfit provides the perfect music to get you amped up for anything you can think of. Guarantee that you hit a new PR in the gym with these goons playing in your headphones.

They just released a new single in March through DAZE called “No Respect Due” featuring the vocalist of the RBS (Real Bay Shit) family’s head honcho, Sunami. For lack of better words, it beats ass from start to finish. Excited to hear more from them, and the release of this single has me thinking they’ve got a full-length through DAZE coming on the horizon.

There’s no guessing what kind of set Hold My Own will have at Tied Down. It will be energizing, violent, and the exact reason why people go to hardcore festivals. They may be the first band not based in Detroit to play the festival as many times as they have. This will be Holy My Own’s third year in a row playing Tied Down, and having seen their first two sets they’ve played at the fest, I expect them to have their most notable set to date in 2025. Bring a mouthguard, team… this one is going to be a battle.
