Scarab: Tied Down 2025

Scarab is one of the most chaotic bands you can witness play a show in the modern era of hardcore. A product of Philadelphia, this band is pissed and they put that on full display in their music with a vocal style that is uniquely violent and lyrics like “Carve my name in your skull. Fuck your life. Fuck your world. Kick my cage. See my teeth. Sink them in as I seethe,” (from their song Disposal). If you like heavy hardcore, Scarab is a band you never want to miss on a lineup.

While they don’t have a deep catalog, every release somehow redefines how heavy hardcore can actually get. They dropped a two track “single” released by Rebirth Records titled 3-Minute Detonator, and it is three and a half minutes of punishing tunes that perfectly blends d-beat hardcore with the speed and anger of powerviolence.

Scarab will be making their Tied Down debut in 2025, and after seeing their set at LDB 2024 and FYA 2025, I know they will bring a level of intensity that will be hard to follow.
