Festival review series: Tied Down 2025

Beginning this series with a festival that I have attended every year since it’s inception: Tied Down Detroit.

Starting in 2022, Tied Down Detroit has brought many bands to Detroit (including Have Heart, Trapped Under Ice, Trash Talk, and Gorilla Biscuits) to perform in front of thousands of hardcore music fans. With the ever-growing presence of the hardcore festival circuit, Tied Down Detroit has stated their claim as one of the few must-see events of each year - alongside Sound & Fury, FYA, and This Is Hardcore.

The 2025 lineup was announce at the beginning of this year and I couldn’t be more excited. Foundation, the hardcore straight-edge outfit from Atlanta, announced their return to Detroit after a 10-year hiatus. This will be their third performance since returning, and having seen their first returning performance at FYA 2025, I can safely say they haven’t missed a step. Detroit is in for a treat.

American Nightmare make their return to Detroit for their only US performance of 2025 (at least their only booked US performance at the time of this post).

The rest of the lineup is absolutely stacked and I’m excited to introduce you to even one band that you may not have taken the time to listen to otherwise.

In this series, I am going to be reviewing every single band on the Tied Down 2025 lineup.

The Tied Down Detroit 2025 lineup is comprised of:

American Nightmare, Foundation, Speed, Fiddlehead, Judge, The Mongoloids, Sanguisugabogg, The Hope Conspiracy, Mindforce, Never Ending Game, Big Boy, Disgrace, Gridiron, Regional Justice System, Trial, Vamachara, The Wrong Side, Apex Predator, Bad Beat, Combust, Crush Your Soul, D Bloc, Hold My Own, Holy Blade, Prize Horse, Scarab, Whispers, Ante Up, Dynamite, Exit Strategy, Face The Pain, Lyuda, Slice, and Steamroll.
